Parole or probation may be revoked if the conditions set out during the sentencing process are violated. These usually include:
-Possession of weapons
-Possession of illegal substances
-Concealing one’s location
-Not reporting to one’s parole or probation authority
-Involvement with criminals
-Committing another crime
-Violation of any other terms imposed by the judge
Following a violation there is a hearing to determine if parole should be revoked. The outcome of the hearing can be appealed.
